I don’t like to take up extra space on my screen, so normally I wouldn’t add another toolbar to my browser. The Google Tool Bar however, is actually quite useful. It allows you to perform any of Google’s searches, blocks popups, and adds a host of other features that make browsing easier.

Need a visual representation of what’s on your hard drive. SpaceMonger is just what you’re looking for. It will show you each file’s size and location graphically, allowing you to see just where all of your space going.
Here’s a nifty tool that lets you minimize any window to the system tray, or force it to stay on top. Power Menu also has a few more features for power users.
Msconfig lets you change which programs start up when windows starts, but you can’t change wether the program runs for all users or just you. Startup Control Panel allows you to change this. Go to Mike Lin’s site and download it.
Microsoft has released a free set of tools and programs for Windows XP that perform a variety of functions. Some of the programs include an addition to the Alt-Tab switching that shows you a preview of the selected window, a graphing calculator, a magnifier, and a photo album generator. I can’t put a link directly to them, so go to Microsoft and search for Windows XP power toys. (There is also a different set of power toys for Win 98 and ME)
